Frubes & Angry brids

Key Roles: Design, Animation, UX, Artworker

Online activation

As a key member of the design team working on Frubes UK, I was given the challenge of bringing Rovio and Frubes together, for the UK release of the “The Angry Birds Movie”.

I designed the landing page and prize funnel, to encourage the highest engagement possible. I created a simple and leading page to create conversations from on-pack to digital signups. My roles included UX, web design, artworking, OOH advertising, as well as creating animations, as part of the online activity.

creating the Digital home

I worked on building up a visually exciting digital hub for the on-pack promotion, redemption and activities.

I created a reskinable hub that drove engagement through online code redemption and activities, with the ability to be reused for future promotions.

The dance off

One aspect of the brief was to increase dwell time and incorporate an interactive feature into the site, which brought the lovable characters of “The Angry Birds Movie” to life. It was through this challenge that the concept of the dance off was born!

Working from concept to creation, I was a core member of the team, branching across all aspects of the project: ideation, design and production. This grew from a simple idea to the realisation of a functioning virtual Dance Off. I worked directly on a set of key assets and animations from the film, to create a unique set of dance moves for each character, as a suite of GIF’s that could be used in the ‘Dance Off’ game. To do this, I took footage supplied from the film and repurposed it, creating a unique experience from a very limited amount of assets.
